SA Exam & Certification
The Leading SAFe training is a two-day training (8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., including lunch) and is taught by one of our SAFe Practice Consultants (SPC). Besides the training, our consultants are also active in the field: this means they have extensive experience in implementing SAFe within (large) organizations.

Prerequisites
Anyone is welcome to attend the Leading SAFe course, regardless of role or experience.
For those who intend to take the SAFe® 6.0 Agilist (SA) certification exam, the following prerequisites are highly recommended:
- 5+ years of experience in software development, testing, business analysis, product, or project management;
- Experience in Scrum.
After the training and when you pass the exam, you will be a certified SAFe Scaled Agilist. You will receive:
- Official SAFe® Scaled Agilist (SA) certificate
- Digital badge of the certificate (to share & promote online)
- One-year certified membership as a SAFe Agilist, granting access to the SAFe Community of Practice
- Access to a variety of learning resources to support certified professionals during the SAFe journey
Exam and Credits
- Exam name – SAFe 6.0 Agilist Exam
- Exam format – Multiple choice
- Exam delivery – Web-based (single-browser), closed book, no outside assistance, timed
- Exam access – Candidates can access the exam within the SAFe Community Platform upon completion of the Leading SAFe course.
- Exam duration – Once the exam begins, candidates have 90 minutes (1.5 hours) to complete the exam.
- Number of questions – 45
- Passing grade – 34 out of 45 questions (75%)
- Language – English
- Exam cost – The first exam attempt is included as part of the course registration fee, if the exam is taken within 30 days of course completion. Each retake attempt costs $50.
- Retake policy – A second attempt on the exam (first retake) can be done immediately after the first attempt. The third attempt requires a 10-day wait. A fourth attempt requires a 30-day wait. Contact support@scaledagile.com for any questions about the retake policy.
